HiFi Support Arrives – ddHiFi HS400 Desktop Rack
ddHiFi HS400 is a $129 USD per layer stand for desktop products with a full metallic aluminum build, and an especially beautiful look that adds style to your setup, helping cool off your devices and improving your hiFi experience step by step.
Introduction
DD HiFi always created affordable and neat products, and the new HS400 stand is uniquely interesting thanks to finally making the idea of a hiFi stand accessible, affordable and easy to use. Most audiophiles with a large setup will use those for better showcasing their audio setup, and most of them will also use one of those stands to improve airflow and make everything look more neat.

Build Quality – Design
The idea of using a stand for your products is popular, but now ddHifi brings it to life with their HS400, a set of base areas that have a size of 40x30cm, and with a different set of feet that you can purchase, which go from just the spikes, to 8cm, 10cm, 12cm, 15cm and 18cm.
Each layer supports 4 feet, and this sand uses a 6063 high-strength aviation aluminium alloy. The bottom plate is equipped with vibration absorption grooves and a central air outlet. You can stack multiple layers pf HS400, up to 5 layers ideally.
ddHiFi uses an Electrostatic absorption paint, which makes sure that your DAC and AMP are secure and stable on the HS400. You can choose from a selection of colors, including Warm Gray, Cool Gray, Pinkish Gray or Silver White to match your current setup.
The variant we have in our photos is a cool gray. The maximum load is 50KG, more than any audiophile device with the size of 30×40 will be, and HS400 is made to order, so it takes a while from the moment you order to the moment your order will be shipped as ddHifi does not have a stock of HS400 and they need to be produced especially for your order.
You can actually screw multiple feet into each other to extend the height if you need, although the only useful part that I can see is to get yourself around 5 sets and make the stand as tall as your desk. Each layer is independent, and you can buy a ground layer or just use the top layers, and using a ground layer can significantly improve the stability of the stand.
Quality
I usually don’t see the usefulness of a rack and have avoided them for a really long while as I thought they take a lot of space and are not that useful, but ddHiFi made me change my mind. I find HS400 to be one of the most beautiful, most practical things that I have in my home, it helped me organize my desk really nicely, it is ultra stable and I don’t really have any device 50Kg in weight to test the maximum weight support.
All the DACs and DAC/AMPs I tested are supported, and since this one can be placed on a desk, and since there is ventilation on the bottom, it is a much better way of setting up your listening rig than placing things on top of each other. This rack allows all units to cool off better, and for amplifiers that tend to run really hot like Keces S300+ or Aune S17 PRO Evo, I find that using HS400 helps a lot. Also, a big part for me is that the cool gray color simply complements my entire setup nicely, those metallic feet look really neat and add a lot of style to my indoor photos and videos.
When trying to get one of those ddHifi let me know that they don’t make many of them, as the protection cost is almost the same as the sale cost, just the bare aluminum being very pricey, and hard to ship, but at the same time I think this is one of the most brilliant products that the company made. Not necessarily complementary with their other products, but as a standalone rack, it is the most beautiful, best made, most stable one I’ve seen to date, especially for smaller desktop DACs / DAC AMPs.
It is often easy to forget that HiFi racks for very large devices exist, but there’s a huge community of audiophiles that use smaller setups, and ddHiFi delivers exactly the product we need to keep our desk tidy and clean.
Value and Conclusion
ddHifi has not released any other product that could have a higher value than the HS400, and this is the most affordable product, with just the bare aluminum costing a huge chunk of the price you’re paying. I would purchase it even if I was not an audiophile just to organize my desk, that’s how neat it looks and useful I found it to be.
At the end of the day, I fully recommend the ddhiFi HS 400, it is a very stable, sturdy desktop stand for Hifi products, it is beautiful, clean and reliable, and has a very low price for the quality it offers.
